Phasmophobia, or fear of ghosts or spirits, is a very common phobia. It has been estimated that about 30% of the United States population suffer from this phobia. This phobia can cause significant anxiety in people who are afraid to go anywhere near anything that could be associated with these beings.

Phasmophobia is the fear of ghosts. The word Phasmophobia comes from the Greek words phasma meaning apparition or specter and phobos meaning fear. Read more in detail here: phasmophobia ghost types.

This guide will show you how to find all of the evidence in Phasmophobia, as well as some tips and techniques for becoming a better ghost hunter.

Introduction

Are you new to Phasmophobia and want to improve your skills? Are you searching for a book that will teach you how to find a ghost using evidence so that you may work as a professional ghost hunter? If that’s the case, you’ve come to the perfect spot!

The Goals of the Guide

We’ll cover the following topics in this guide:

  • How to locate every available proof, such as freezing temperatures, Level 5 of the EMF, ghost orbs, spirit boxes, fingerprints, and ghost writing
  • What tools do we have at our disposal to locate this evidence?
  • What do these facts imply?
  • What might these evidences lead to?

Temperatures Below Freezing

The first piece of evidence on our list is Freezing Temperatures!

Freezing Temperatures may be obtained by determining that the Ghost room is below or equal to 0 degrees Celsius. A thermometer, which is a sophisticated piece of equipment that displays the temperature in the room you are presently in, is a good method to identify this. You have Freezing Temperatures if the value is less than or equal to 0 degrees Celsius. You may also see your breath in the supposedly haunted chamber if you don’t have a thermometer. It will resemble the following:

Freezing Temperatures are caused by ghosts such as:

  • Wraith
  • Phantom
  • Banshee
  • Mare
  • Shade
  • Yurie
  • Demon

PS: Check out my Ghost Descriptions and Rankings Guide if you want to know what the three evidences for each ghost in Phasmophobia are.

EMF Level 5

EMF Level 5 is coming next!

You may get EMF Level 5 by utilizing a device known as an EMF Reader. This gadget will alert us to the presence of a ghost, particularly if it is active, by producing a beeping noise and lights that scale from level 1 to 5 based on the ghost’s activity.

A Ghost with an EMF level of 1 is in its natural condition, not touching anything or causing any disruptions. An EMF level of 2 suggests that the Ghost is interacting with something, such as a door, window, light, phone, or other such item. A ghost with an EMF level of 3 has moved or tossed a tangible object such as a shoe, coffee cup, artwork, or other similar item. If the reader is in the selected or haunted room, an EMF level of 4 indicates that a ghost is present in a neighboring room. If the reader is in the chosen or haunted room, this may mark the commencement of a search.

Only ghosts with the EMF Level 5 characteristic will have an EMF level of 5. It will happen anytime an EMF Level 2 incident occurs, and it will take the place of the previous level of indicator. This implies that if a Ghost has the capacity to conduct an EMF 5 field of energy, every EMF 2 interaction it does has a 25% chance of being counted as an EMF Level 5 event. If this occurs, you now have an EMF Level 5! When you have a shy ghost, EMF readings of 5 may be difficult to obtain, but they can and generally do come practically immediately after entering the haunted room and stay for 20 seconds. The following is an example of an EMF Level 5:

The following ghosts cause EMF Level 5:

  • Phantom
  • Banshee
  • Jinn
  • Mare
  • Revenant
  • Shade
  • Oni

Orbs of the Dead

Then there’s Ghost Orbs!

You may get Ghost Orbs by utilizing a device known as a Video Camera. This camera should be positioned in the area where the ghost is active. I suggest getting a tripod and setting the camera on top of it, then finding a part of the room where the ghost is hiding and dropping it in a corner with a good view of the whole room. If you can’t afford a tripod, locate an elevated location in a space where you can keep an eye on everything and set up your camera there.

Once you’ve done that, you or another teammate should walk to the van’s desktop and utilize the mouse on the desk next to the monitor to look at the screen monitor where the Ghost Orb camera’s view will be shown. After that, make sure all of the lights in the room are turned out and use the keyboard to enable night vision mode.

Wait a fair length of time after that, perhaps 30 seconds to 1 minute, considering their inconsistency. You have Ghost Orbs if you see floating orbs of light moving around the room. Ghost Orbs will resemble the following:

Ghost Orbs are caused by the following ghosts:

  • Phantom
  • Poltergiest
  • Jinn
  • Mare
  • Shade
  • Yurei

Box of Spirits

Spirit Box is coming next!

A Spirit Box is a device that you may use to communicate with the spirit. Asking the ghost questions around or inside the haunted room is how this gadget is utilized. You may ask the ghost a variety of questions. “Are you here?” “Where are you from?” “How old are you?” “Are you friendly?” Keep in mind that for the Spirit Box to function, all room lights must be within a reasonable distance of where the Spirit Box is placed; flashlights will not interfere with the Spirit Box.

You may even annoy a ghost by just saying its name, causing it to respond through Spirit Box. Keep in mind that utilizing the Spirit Box to speak or communicate does not have to interfere with your colleagues’ local or global push communication. Whether you’re chatting in game or not, the ghost can always hear you. Sorry for scaring you :). If the ghost does not react to the Spirit Box or if anything interferes with it, you will get a message on your screen that says “Nothing Detected” to let you know the device isn’t picking up anything. Within the Spirit Box, communication will look like this:

The following ghosts cause contact inside the Spirit Box:

  • Spirit
  • Wraith
  • Poltergiest
  • Jinn
  • Mare
  • Oni
  • Demon

Fingerprints

Fingerprints is coming next!

Using an Ultra-Violet Flashlight, you may get fingerprints. This gadget functions similarly to a standard flashlight, except that it produces a faint, purple glow of Ultraviolet (UV) light that may reveal fingerprints. On windows, the backsides of doors to rooms and closets, and light switches, fingerprints may be found. Fingerprints should only be sought after you have located the ghost’s chamber, since they are more difficult to locate and may be discovered in a variety of locations. Listen for pounding on windows, door knobs twisting, and lights switching after you’ve located the haunted room. Once you’ve heard these things happen, take out your UV light and aim it towards the doorknob, window, or light switch that the ghost touched.

Continue doing this for all of the room’s doorknobs and windows until it’s clear that the ghost has interacted with a variety of objects but hasn’t left any fingerprints. If the ghost leaves fingerprints, you’ll notice a green, glowing hand print on doors and windows, as well as a single green, glowing fingerprint on light switches. Furthermore, when the ghost walks in salt, the UV Light may be used to detect footprints on the floor, but they DO NOT qualify as fingerprints or proof.

Another sophisticated piece of equipment for detecting fingerprints is a glow stick, although they are considerably less effective and I suggest putting them on the floor for a fixed light that is much more handy while searching for footprints. Also, don’t forget that utilizing the picture camera to photograph various fingerprints around the room may earn you extra cash. Fingerprints will resemble the following:

1911201-7

Fingerprints are caused by ghosts such as:

  • Spirit
  • Wraith
  • Poltergiest
  • Banshee
  • Revenant

Writing like a ghost

Last but not least, there’s Ghost Writing!

A Ghost Writing Book is a tool that may be used to get Ghost Writing. This Book is without a doubt the most basic piece of equipment of all. Simply locate the ghost chamber and place the Ghost Writing Book inside. I suggest dropping several in the room and spacing them out in case the ghost is bashful, and since, similar to fingerprints, taking a picture of Ghost Writing from several books with the photo camera will earn you a bonus money boost in the photo category. When you leave the book alone for a while and return, it may say things like “Leave or Die” or “Die” or simply some symbols. If this is the case, you’ve got yourself some Ghost Writing on your hands! The following is an example of ghost writing:

The following are examples of ghosts that result in Ghost Writing:

  • Spirit
  • Revenant
  • Shade
  • Yurei
  • Oni
  • Demon
